Ben's quilt

I finally started working on Ben's quilt. He is crazy about cars and trucks so of course it was easy to pick a theme for it.
I actual take some of his toys and try to copy the shapes. I hope it won't take me too long to finish it. :)

Here are two blocks I put together.

make up case

I've made this make up case for my sister. She looooves cats! I was going to make a small purse with this fabric but it was just not enough and I didn't wanted to mix it with other fabric. So I made her a make up case with a bright pink lining. I also added a little bling bling zipper thingy since she is all about that.

This was my first make up case but I really hate how it gets so thick on each of the zipper ends because of all the fabric and batting. Maybe I will try a different pattern next time.

bibs

I've been sewing a lot of bibs for friends and family lately thanks to lazy. :)
She sent me a great pattern but now I almost ran out of the thin batting so I have to start working on something else until I get more.

For some reason this picture always turns after I upload it. Sorry! Don't hurt your neck. ;)

basket

I am sure many quilters have at least a couple of finished blocks at home they ended up not using. So what can you do with them? Here is one idea. Make a basket you can use to put for example rolls, bread, or croissants in it. Or use it for your decorations. Instead of sewing the corners together I decided to sew on some ribbons. This way I can wash them better, iron it if neccessary and even use it as a table topper.

I still need to cut off the threads as you can see in the picture. I was just too lazy so far... ;)

Angels

For this project you can use the smallest fabric leftovers. Besides fabric you need some fiberfill, rice, felt, thicker thread, and anything for the hair. The directions called for certain wool but I didn't have it at home so I used what I had available.

I will make some with christmas fabric and some with neutral fabric so they can be out all year long. I think they make a great gift as well.

scraps projects

I am really into projects where I can use lots of my small fabric scraps.

Within the next couple of days I will post the ones I am working on right now. They make great little gifts for family, friends, or yourself. ;)

Here are littel drawstring bags. You can use them for example to put small gifts in for a birthday or christmas present, or make more for an advent calendar.

I love this fabric by the way!!! It was a freebie when I ordered some fabric on ebay I think. I have to find out who is making it so I can order some more for my christmas projects.
